1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly (name, email, phone number, profile photo, location), information generated through Platform use (requests, messages, transactions, reviews), and technical information (device type, IP address, browser).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: operate and improve the Platform; match Clients with nearby Artisans; process payments and manage escrow; send transactional and service notifications; enforce our Terms of Service; and comply with legal obligations.
3. Location Data
Artisans share their approximate location to appear in client searches. Clients share their service location when posting requests. We do not track your real-time GPS location without your explicit consent via the map feature.
4. Sharing Your Information
We share your information only: (a) with the counterparty in a service transaction (name, rating, job details); (b) with payment processors to handle transactions; (c) with service providers who assist Platform operations under confidentiality agreements; (d) when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Transaction records are retained for 7 years for financial and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us.
6. Security
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for data in transit and bcrypt hashing for passwords. We do not store raw payment card numbers. Despite our efforts, no system is completely secure — please use a strong, unique password.
7. Cookies
We use a single authentication cookie (token) to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You may update your profile at any time in Settings. To request account deletion, contact privacy@fundi.app.
9. Children
The Platform is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via the Platform or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
